Shrimp Tacos with Herdez Avocado Salsa (Tacos de Camarones)

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of Herdez Avocado Salsa
  • 8-10 corn tortillas
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sour cream, and lime wedges

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the shrimp, making sure to evenly coat each shrimp.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, until they are pink and cooked through.

  3. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.

  4. In the same skillet, warm the corn tortillas for about 20-30 seconds per side, or until they are slightly charred and pliable.

  5. To assemble the tacos, place a few shrimp on each tortilla and spoon some Herdez Avocado Salsa over the shrimp. Add any additional toppings you like, such as diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sour cream, and a squeeze of lime juice.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious and flavorful shrimp tacos with Herdez Avocado Salsa.
